Next Level Body-painting

Danny Kaye once said that

“Life is a great big canvas,

and you should throw all the paint you can on it”.

Some artists seem to take that quite literally. Alexa Meade is a 23-year old artist, based in Washington DC, she came up with the terrific idea of painting with acrylic paint on live models. The technique is truly magnificent, by painting on real people and objects, she turns three-dimensional subjects into a 2D surface, which she then immortalizes by taking photographs. At first glance, it’s hard to believe that these are in fact real people, she refined the Trompe-L’Oeil painting technique and gave it a refreshing appeal. Check out the slideshow and let me know what you think about it.
